Still Looking for an Appropriate New Year’s Resolution for 2024 ā We Found the Perfect Fit for Mill Valley Residents!
My resolution this year is to, whenever possible, shop in person instead of online. I like this resolution because it lines up with other objectives I have concerning my finances, community, sustainability, simplicity. And itās not totally about me, so it feels a little less dreary and narcissistic than typical resolution fare.

When the City of Mill Valley celebrated La Ginestra’s 50th Anniversary in 2014, Fabio Aversa recounted to the Council a story about the family closing the restaurant briefly in 1965 so they could return to Italy for one month. At the end of the trip, Salvatore Aversa told his wife that heād go back to Mill Valley to re-open the restaurant, and āthat if nobody shows up, Iāll pack everything back up and come back to Italy.ā Instead, he found flowers and welcome back signs and notes outside the restaurant.

Two weeks later at the Community Center, weāll have another lineup of great performances, great activities, food trucks, a beverage program for adults and kiddos alike, and much more.
