Mill Valley Chamber Once Again Is Set to Showcase the Artwork of Tam High Students in Zachary Gilmour’s Drawing and Painting Class in May – ArtWalk is Tuesday, May 6th, 5:30–7:30pm!

Longtime Tam High art teacher Zachary Gilmour, who is largely responsible for supporting the array of creative artwork from his students that ends up being showcased each year, is showcasing his students’ drawing and painting work on the walls of the Mill Valley Chamber’s space at 85 Throckmorton Ave., including a reception on May 6th, 5:30-7:30 as part of the Mill Valley Arts Commission’s First TuesdayĀ Artwalk. The student’s work focuses on “In Our Community.”Ā Acrylic paintings on canvas by Intermediate Drawing & Painting. Students were asked to paint anĀ acrylicĀ painting of a member of ourĀ community. Students chose teachers, school staff members, coaches, people who work in local businesses, and family.

2025 Mill Valley Memorial Day Parade Applications Are Available Now for One of Our Community’s Biggest Events of the Year – May 26th!

The Mill Valley Memorial Day Parade is right around the corner! The Mill Valley Memorial Day Parade (check out the website) Mill Valley’s biggest annual event is Monday, May 26, 2025. The parade starts with the very special Veterans Ceremony, which includes the student K-8 essay contest “What does Memorial Day mean to me,” beginning at 9:45 am at Lytton Square, followed by the parade at 10:30 am. The I Love a Parade committee, Larry ‘The Hat’ Lautzker, Paul Moe, and Clifford Waldeck invite you to get together with your neighbors and friends or support local organizations and create wondrous floats. Enter your Classic Car, bring your pet kangaroo, and get creative! We’re returning the glory days of Mill Valley Parades, Color Guard, Great floats, Dogs marching, and Classic Cars, with trophies for best in all (see entry form) categories.
