Throckmorton Theatre Hosts October Noon Concert: Jennifer Choi, Angela Lee & Marc Teicholz – Oct. 16th, 12pm

October Noon Concert features Violinist Jennifer Choi, cellist Angela Lee, and guitarist Marc Teicholz join forces to play a delightfully varied and colorful program. The music ranges from Paganini to Piazzolla, Baroque to Balkan, light and humorous to darkly sensual and intense. There are no “reserved seats” however, you may request special seating if you have a need. This concert is donation based and a link to make your donations will be at the completion of the form. The return of the massive Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival is always a massive lift for music lovers all over the Bay Area, particularly with a lineup that once again leans heavily on its ‘hardly strictly’ mantra and has booked an array of bands across the musical landscape. Organizers of the event, as usual, are making sure that the event benefits the larger Bay Area community, and is doing so by continuing its “Hardly Strictly Out of the Park,” a series of nighttime live performances at a handful of venues around town, including a quartet of shows at our own venerable Sweetwater Music Hall.

The 2024 Milley Awards Grow Near! Seven Mill Valleyans Will Be Honored at the Mill Valley Community Center – Oct. 27th

Seven accomplished Mill Valley residents will be honored at an elegant program and buffet supper from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, October 27 at the Mill Valley Community Center. The six will receive bronze statuettes designed by the late sculptor John Libberton. Mill Valley is the only city in Marin County that officially recognizes the talents and achievements of people in the arts.
