With a resume that runs the gamut from prolific songwriter for Grateful Dead, a fellow at Harvard Law School‘s Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University, co-founder of the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) and the Freedom of the Press Foundation, it doesn’t seem fair that John Perry Barlow should “be in such dire straits that he needs donations to pay his medical bills and living expenses.”
But he got that help Monday night at a benefit show at the Sweetwater Music Hall featuring Bob Weir, Jerry Harrison of The Talking Heads, Les Claypool of Primus, Sean Lennon, Lukas Nelson & Promise Of The Real, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott and members of The String Cheese Incident.
