Eight years ago, the ever-growing group of artists in the Muir Woods Park Community Association realized their strength in numbers, as nearly two dozen talented artists live in the neighborhood. To leverage their power as a collective, they formed the Artists of Mt. Tamalpais, a nonprofit arts organization that celebrates the arts in their neighborhood and beyond.

The Artists of Mt. Tam continue that celebration on April 14-15 with their annual Spring Art Show and sale at the Muir Woods Park Community Association Clubhouse, featuring the work of 18 artists, including Jane AllenBeverly AndersonTripp CarpenterEtta DeikmanRhonda DubinRoy ForestEllen Franz, Glenda GentryElly GrahamTeresa HarrisonBonnie HimbergAndy LillestolJohn LovellWoodward PayneBarbara Quinn, Linda Sawtelle and Alex Uncapher.

The work of those spans an array of mediums, from painting and photography to ceramics, woodworking, sculpture, textiles and more.

“Inspired by the quiet and majestic beauty of Mount Tamalpais, these artists reflect that beauty in their art,” Uncapher says. “The Clubhouse offers breathtaking views spanning the Bay, San Francisco and the ocean. This is a delightful place to peruse fabulous art.”
