After an unusually long, COVID-induced span of relative inactivity on Friends Field behind the Mill Valley Community Center, the field has seen the return of youth sports across all of its fields as Marin has progressed through the state’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy framework.

Passers-by may have also noticed a new outdoor event series on the field, as Artists & Fleas on the Bay, an artist + maker market based in New York City with locations in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Los Angeles has expanded to Mill Valley, launching its first outdoor market earlier this month and teeing up another one for Saturday, April 3, 11am-5pm.

The markets are ticketed events (parking included), with 90 minute shopping windows to ensure safety, contact tracing and social distancing compliance. The markets feature:

  • Bay Area artists, makers, and vintage collectors
  • A big grassy field and spaced out tents (think farmer’s market– but with local art, vintage, fashion and design!)
  • Ticketed, staggered entry; wide aisles for ample space and comfortable shopping; masked sellers & shoppers; and a lot of hand sanitizing stations.
  • Small business creators thankful that you came out to support their small businesses.

Masks are mandatory for all merchants & shoppers at all times. By attending, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

Tickets are likely to sell out and may NOT be available for purchase on site. Children under 12 are free. Dogs are permitted but must be leashed at all times.
