Performing Arts Academy of Marin (PAAM), longtime Mill Valley resident Mill Valley resident Annie Lee Thistle’s multi-faceted artistic juggernaut that seeks to equip young artists with well-rounded, whole-person dance and theater arts training and the confidence to take on whatever path they choose, is once again feeling the Halloween spirit.
“Get in the Halloween spirit at the Performing Arts Academy of Marin’s Third Annual Pumpkin Bash! ,” Thistle says. “Put on your costume and bring the kiddos over for complimentary trick-or-treating, pumpkin decorating, carnival games, bounce house, and live performances by the PAAM Dance Squad. Saturday October 26th 2-5pm at the Performing Arts Academy of Marin, located behind Strawberry Village at 60 Belvedere Drive, Mill Valley, CA 94941.
PAAM’s CEO and Mill Valley Resident, Annie Leese Thistle is “beyond thrilled to offer our Third Annual Pumpkin Bash – an idea I’ve been wanting to execute since the early days of the studio and brought to life for the first time two years ago. We are excited to have the fun activities that we had last year, as well as the opportunity to connect with our larger community. It is going to be an amazing afternoon filled with laughter, joy, music, movement, pumpkins, treats and festive fun!”
Founded in a genuine love for the performing arts, PAAM provides comprehensive training in theater arts and dance as well as additional offerings including Youth Musicals, dance teams through our BAYPAC program, and Summer Camps. Students receive superior training, expand their boundaries, gain valuable skills – all while building friendships and memories. PAAM equips young artists with a well-rounded arts education and the confidence to take on whatever path they choose.
The event marks the latest chapter in the nearly 15 years since Annie Thistle launched her Performing Arts Academy of Marin (PAAM) in her living room, a journey that took her from the Community Church of Mill Valley in 2009, then in the Alto Plaza shopping center in early 2010, and then to the 2,800-square-foot storefront space above Balboa Cafe at Mill Creek Plaza.
In late 2015, as they juggled multiple venues to accommodate their growth, they moved PAAM to a 6,000-square-foot space at 60 Belvedere Drive in Strawberry, just behind the Strawberry Village shopping center.
