In just six years since its debut in 2016, Mill Valley Friends of Parks and Recreation have donated more than $350,000 towards Parks and Recreation projects, including:
- Sports field renovations
- Community Center enhancements
- Scholarship matching
- Skate Park renovation
- Golf course improvements
- Community Garden
For the organization and its ongoing efforts to optimize fields and facilities all over town, 2022 was another successful year. “We donated $35,000 towards the Alto Baseball Field renovation, and provided infrastructure for the Golf Course supporters to raise over $300,000,” the organization said in a statement. “We also advocated with the City to invest in maintaining our sports fields so that they continue to be in great condition.”
The organization has several exciting potential projects in 2023, such as improvements to Boyle Park fields and facilities. “But to take advantage of these opportunities, we will need your help,” MVFPR officials said. “Please consider making a donation to ensure that Parks and Recreation continues to be a first-class experience for Mill Valley residents.”
