To that end, while we wake up every day to make the 2024 Mill Valley Music Fest the best version of itself, we’re also focused on getting you excited for a series of pop-up shows around town. 2024 Mill Valley Memorial Day Parade Applications Are Available Now for One of Our Community’s Biggest Events of the Year – May 27th!
As always, the weekend extends well beyond the massive parade, including the return of the Mill Valley Volunteer Firefighters’ Association’s Pancake Breakfast from 7-11am, the Mill Valley Historical Society’s annual ‘Walk Into History’ event, the 4-day KIDDO! Carnival and the after Parade party. The Kiddo! Memorial Day Celebration is from 12-5:15pm on Friends Field with free admission.

Floodwater, Tam Junction’s Massive Restaurant, Bar & Gathering Place, Expands Its Palate in Hosting West Coast Goods Times ‘Deep Disco’ – March 16, 9pm-1am
On March 16th, Floodwater, the massive, 7,200-square-foot restaurant, bar and gathering place that opened in 2019 in the former Frantoio space in Tam Junction, is expanding its palate. “We’ll be transforming our awesome space into a nightclub for the evening!” organizers say. “Sip on cocktails, beer, wine and champagne all while dancing the night away to the very best in Deep House and Disco Edits courtesy of DJ West Coast (resident DJs at The Battery in SF).

Local Residents Host ‘Gather for Gaza,’ a Fundraiser for Humanitarian Aid – Sunday, March 17th at the MV Community Center, 5:30-9pm
“Join us for a night filled with compassion for the people of Gaza with an activism hour and silent auction, followed by iftar, Hansia says. “We’re raising funds for food and medical aid for children in Gaza with 100% of the ticket sales and anything raised on the day of going towards Middle East Children’s Alliance, a non-profit based out of Berkeley.”
Transportation Authority of Marin Identifies 19 Areas of Concern on Sea Level Rise
The major areas of focus span much of the county, including Bel Marin Keys; Belvedere and Tiburon; Bolinas; the Hamilton Wetlands; Inverness; Marin City; Manzanita and Tamalpais Junction; Mill Valley, downtown and western Novato; Santa Venetia; Sausalito; Stinson Beach; Highway 37; Highway 101; San Rafael; Kentfield; Corte Madera; Terra Linda; and Larkspur. “They are mostly coastal areas, as expected, with some additional inland due to groundwater rise,” Hiatt said.
