Murphy Productions, O’Hanlon Center Serve Up Another Sunday Salon, Focusing on ‘It’s About the Light’ – July 21st, 4-7pm
For years now, Murphy Productions, the outfit from Daniel Patrick and Erma Murphy, has been hosting Sunday Salons – potluck-style meals that have attendees performing music, poetry, dance, storytelling and much more – at O’Hanlon Center for the Arts, where Murphy serves as executive director. The multi-faceted gatherings create community, inspire creativity and generally foster the vital need for connectivity. The next Sunday Salon – dubbed ‘Sunday Salon: Summer,’ is set for July 21st from 4pm-7pm. The theme is ‘It’s About the Light.’ Bring photos and memorabilia for the Day of the Dead Altar.

The Milley Awards Are Set To Honor Seven Mill Valleyans at the 2024 Milley Awards – Oct. 27th, Mill Valley Community Center
Seven accomplished Mill Valley residents will be honored at an elegant program and buffet supper from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, October 27 at the Mill Valley Community Center. The six will receive bronze statuettes designed by the late sculptor John Libberton. Mill Valley is the only city in Marin County that officially recognizes the talents and achievements of people in the arts.

BAHFA reports that “a $10 billion bond would require a tax of $10.26 per $100,000 in assessed value – or about $100 per year for a million-dollar home.” Double that if the bond is for $20 billion.”
