Pardon the Interruption Brings High-Energy New Wave and Prog-Pop to Sweetwater Music Hall on June 5th with Ska/Soul Favorites Jethro Jeremiah Band
Blending New Wave nostalgia with prog-pop punch, Pardon The Interruption (PTI) returns to Sweetwater Music Hall for a high-energy set guaranteed to get Mill Valley moving. Led by guitarist and vocalist David Noble—whose credits range from Wreckless Strangers to Nina Hagen—PTI draws from funk, ska, jam and vintage rock to deliver a sound that’s both retro-chic and totally its own. The band features a killer lineup of NorCal session talent including bassist Rob Fordyce, drummer Rob Hooper and sax maven Jamison Smeltz. The big update for MVMF audiophiles is that local sound company ESP Audio brings custom d&b D&B Audiotechnik’s rig each year, and captains the helm. D&B just released a cutting edge new concert rig, and Nils Erickson, the owner of ESP, is debuting it at the MVMF this year. In addition to updated drivers and components, the new D&B Model creates a pocket of quiet on the stage where the monitor engineer and the band have more control of the stage sound levels to hone their craft. “Our artists are in for an unparalleled stage experience this year!” Erickson says. All of this amounts to improved sound quality, less power consumption, and new sound field technology to bleed less off the main PA onto the stage, giving the band a better experience on the stage to hone their craft.
