To that end, while we wake up every day to make the 2025 Mill Valley Music Fest the best version of itself, we’re also focused on getting you excited for a series of pop-up shows around town, all to remind you, and ourselves, that live music is a fundament element within the 94941, and as the weather gets a bit less frosty and the sun stays awake a bit longer, there’s plenty of fun and excitement to be had! See below for each activity! The beloved Mill Valley Little League Parade is marching back into town. Save the date of Saturday, March 15th. We’re hoping for blue skies for our Opening Day Parade and Ceremony. The parade will start at 9am, led by the traditional bagpipe brigade. The parade route cuts through town on its way to Boyle Park for the ceremony and introduction of our 2025 teams.

That includes “Classes with Mary.” “Mary has been teaching at RoCo Dance for 20+ years,” says RoCo Dance Artistic Director Sadie Carhart.” “She is an incredible instructor and human.”

Mill Valley got its first swanky day-through-midnight craft cocktail and chef-driven food venue with the opening of Corner Bar in April, moving into the prominent downtown space briefly occupied by Coho in 2023 and, before that, Vasco for 23 years. In July, Petaluma-founded Angela’s Organic Ice Cream debuted its fourth North Bay location in Mill Valley. In August, Tam Valley resident and chef Tony Adams opened Mill Valley Pasta Co., a downtown retail store catering to cooks and gift givers alike. Adams also operates a factory store in San Rafael and maintains a strong presence at seven Bay Area farmers markets along with other retail outlets.

According to food reporter Elena Kadvany, after nearly two decades in the Dogpatch neighborhood, beloved San Francisco restaurant Piccino is expanding to two new locations – first in the Presidio and, likely in Mill Valley in early 2026, set at 242 Redwood Highway Frontage Rd., the space near Seaplane Adventures facility along the waterfront.

Winterfest, the 94941’s annual holiday celebration produced by the Mill Valley Chamber and Organized Chaos Events, returned to the Downtown Plaza on December 8th, drawing another massive outpouring of residents, participants and friends. The event was once again an absolute blockbuster, with more than 1,000 locals and friends gathering on the plaza throughout the day and an evening of good cheer, including performances from the Happy Feet Tap Dancers, Rita & the Cosmos, Roco Dance & Fitness for thrilling performances of both hip-hop and contemporary dance, as well as the duo of Ellie McKee and Andrew McKee, who performed a broad array of both holiday tunes and classics through a bulk of the afternoon. We invited Santa on stage following his arrival in a beautiful convertible, and then he dashed off to his throne to greet the children. The beautiful Elecrtic Train kept kiddos and their families busy and happy throughout the day.
