As we head into the fall, with Concerts in the Plaza, Mill Valley Film Festival and the Fall Arts Fest, Mill Valley Recreation still has a pair of exciting films for fans of all ages tee’d up for the annual Movies in the Park series! The series launched in August with “Trolls Band Together” on August 2nd in Old Mill Park, and there are two more coming very soon. On Sept. 6, “Trolls Band Together” hits the big screen on Sept. 6th at Old Mill Park. One month later, “Barbie,” one of the most successful film of the past five years, will be showcased on Oct. 4 at Old Mill Park in Mill Valley. Movies begin at sunset. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair. Admission is free.

The Comedy in the Plaza laugh fest is on June 15, followed by Concerts in the Plaza, Mill Valley Film Festival and the Fall Arts Fest to send us into the fall. Between now and then, however, it’s all about Movies in the Park.

The free series of film screenings under the stars on a giant inflatable screen in local parks – all part of a collaboration among Mill Valley Recreation, the Mill Valley Chamber and the California Film Institute – returns for its ninth season with a quintet of blockbuster films across a pair of incredible venues. The Movies in the Park series kicked off in 2014 and has gotten bigger and better every year since.
