A spoof of ultra-careful parents discussing vaccination policy at an exclusive private school ā and a spoof of much more than that ā the play has been well received everywhere itās been produced, including London and New York, where it won this yearās Tony Award for best revival of a play. Opening Aug. 28, āEureka Dayā will feature original director Josh Costello (Auroraās artistic director) at the helm.

Mill Valley also showcases thrilling live music at long-cherished festivals like the Homestead Valley Music, which returns to Homestead Meadow, as well as the Creekside Fridays at the Tam Valley Community Center, with Fog Burners on August 22nd and Marble Party on Sept. 5th! And don’t get us started on the venerable nonprofit Sweetwater Music Hall, which has top-notch live music just about every night of the week, as often does the Throckmorton Theatre. While the buskers and bands keep playin’ year-round, one of the most exciting live music events returns this month, on August 31st, with CONCERTS ON THE PLAZA! Concerts in the Plaza returns in 2025 on Sunday, August 31st from 11am to 8:30pm. This year’s concerts are a special Mill Valley 125th Anniversary Showcase as a part of the Labor Day Weekend-long celebration.

We will keep innovating and serving our members and community in every way we can. But for now, all these years later, we have decided to take a brief pause from producing the Mill Valley Music Fest in 2026. Weāll see you around town, and weāll be back!

These are just some of the recipes found within the pages of the new āMill Valley Community Cookbook,ā an eclectic collection of recipes and the sweet, funny and historic stories behind them by former and current Mill Valley residents. Created by the Mill Valley Public Library, with support from the Mill Valley Library Foundation and Friends of the Mill Valley Public Library, the cookbook launched earlier this month with a potluck featuring many of the cookbookās participants. A limited number of free copies are available at the library for people to come and take, and copies of the cookbook will be added to the libraryās collection for people to check out.
