Freda B SchoonerFor more than a decade, Marina O’Neill has honored the adventurous spirit of her grandmother, Freda Marie Been, in thrilling fashion, naming the flagship boat of her Sausalito-based SF Bay Adventures – an 80-foot, gaff-rigged tall ship available for private tours for up to 49 people and public sails – the Schooner Freda B.

“She was an amazing woman,” O’Neill says.

While Covid-related protocols kept the schooner aground during the worst of the pandemic, the Freda B has long been back at it at full mast for a while now.

In addition to the striking Freda B, O’Neill says the Cimba is “a charming and affordable motor yacht for a small group up to 10 guests  and one of the last wooden boats available for hire in the Bay Area. Cimba boasts a mahogany hull, original teak decks and fully varnished brightwork and interior accents with decks on both the bow and stern of the boat. The cabin has windows one all four sides allowing for 360-degree views of the surrounding Bay waters. O’Neill says Cimba is an ideal yacht for small birthday parties, marriage proposals, elopements, sunset cruises, picnicking, marine photography, small company outings, executive meetings and intimate ash scatterings, among others. The yacht is hugely popular for holiday fireworks, Jazz by the Bay, Fleet Week (Blue Angels) and SF Giants games in McCovey Cove.
