Twelve years ago, colorist Christine Donahue and stylist Heather Fultz, longtime colleagues at DiPietro Todd, teamed up to create Revery Salon, “a fun, yet relaxing, intimate atmosphere” at 94 East Blithedale Ave. Their stellar reputations followed them, and business grew steadily to some 6,000 clients, so much so that when a space nearly triple in size to theirs at 138 East Blithedale, opened up a few years later, they jumped at earlier this year, they jumped at the chance to move down the block.
Ever since, Donahue and her team have constantly innovated and grown, through the worst of the COVID-19 crisis and its ever-changing restrictions, with Donahue leading the way in staying connected as the salon community navigated turmoil.
Now Revery Salon is helping a different group manage a difficult situation, as they’re hosting Salonathon, an event for which the costs of services go directly to Hair to Stay, a national nonprofit dedicated to helping cancer patients afford scalp cooling, a treatment that can dramatically reduce chemotherapy induced hair loss. Revery stylists are donating their time.
