The O’Hanlon Center for the Arts is taking the art off its walls and putting it on the runway for an early summer fashion show fundraiser.

Set for Saturday June 23, at 5pm, the Off the Wall Fashion Show Fundraiser” features live music, tasty bites and beverages, handmade sculptural garments and outrageous moving works of art on the runway.

“We have works from Pia Andersson’s garment construction workshop, young artists from Berkeley High, Cincinnatus Hibbard’s walking gallery, fashion forward O’Hanlon members and 12 amazing garments by guest designer Kate Mitchell, a director, choreographer, sculptural couture artist, collagist, and the author of Fashioning Women,” says O’Hanlon co-director Erma Murphy. “All of her works are multidimensional layerings connected by humor, introspection, irony, and passion.”

“Make sure you get your photo taken by Herman Privette at the  fun photo op with artful masks to try on by costume, mask and designer Annie Hallatt of Masque Arrayed,” Murphy adds. There will also be a fashionable silent auction.
