After 17-plus months that saw Mt. Tam United Methodist Church steer through the tumult of the pandemic with virtual programming and the transition to new Pastor Luke Ham, the church is set to in-person children and youth programming.
Its school year Sunday School Program launches with an outdoor Bagel Breakfast Kickoff Party before worship service on Sunday, Sept. 12 from 9:30-10:15am. The breakfast is open to all families with children ages 0-18 and is an opportunity to meet their Sunday School Teachers and make new friends. The worship service begins at 10:30am. Children are invited to Sunday School after the children’s moment with the pastor.
The younger class serves children from 4 years to 3rd grade using Godly Play, a creative approach to Sunday School that helps children make meaning of their lives through story, wonder, art and play. Our older class is for children in 4th and 5th grade and uses the Seasons of the Spirit Curriculum. Youth in grades 6-12 will remain in worship and use the “Worship Notes” worksheet to engage with the service. Nursery care is available for children under 4 years old. All children, of any age, are welcome to stay with their families during the service.
