Organizers at the Osher Marin JCC are once again hosting summer concerts this summer!

First up are Bay Area favorites Wonder Bread 5, who will help you get your groove on and get you up off your feet with a never-ending stream of dance party anthems from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s up to the latest hits.

Wonder Bread 5 brings an over the top, interactive performance that gets everyone dancing, singing and celebrating. No two shows are the same! The widely acclaimed band is a group of Marin neighborhood kids that have honed their performance throughout the decades and keep on playing their amazing covers for the pure thrill of it.

Summer Nights returns to our large outdoor field aside Marin’s beautiful nature and open space preserve. Pop-up food vendors, concessions, beer, wine and soft drinks will be available for purchase. Bring your friends and family for a fabulous night of music, food and dancing under the stars!

Tickets: $30. Kids 12 and under are FREE and will not need a ticket.

Seating: Seating will be general admission and on the turf. You may bring picnic or lawn blankets, low back chairs, or a padded stadium chair. There will be preferred seating for any handicapped guests.

Doors open: 6pm. Show starts: 7pm.

Food/Drink: Pop-up food vendors, concessions, and beer, wine and soft drinks will be available for purchase. Tables and chairs will be set up on the basketball court for dining before and during the show. No outside beverages are permitted and will be confiscated during security check. Photo I.D. will be required for a wristband to purchase alcoholic beverages.

Three weeks later, global phenomenon, Grammy Award-winning Latin Big Band Pacific Mambo Orchestra’s original and ingenious repertoire is spiked with infectious energy and superb musicianship. PMO effortlessly blends genre-bending originals and covers as diverse as Stevie Wonder’s ‘Overjoyed’, Dizzy Gillespie’s ‘Night in Tunisia’ and Sergei Rachmaninoff’s 2nd Piano Concerto into the easily recognizable PMO sound! The Orchestra has garnered international praise at prestigious festivals including the Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), Tempo Latino Festival (France), Umbria Jazz Festival (Italy), Antigonish Jazz Festival (Canada), Mexico City’s 5th Annual Tribute to Salsa along with numerous appearances at other top-notch festivals such as Monterey Jazz Festival, San Francisco International Jazz Festival, Jacksonville Jazz Festival, Aspen Jazz Festival and many more.

Start the evening at 6:30 with free salsa lessons, then strut your stuff on the outdoor dance floor, or just sit back, breathe in the fresh air, and enjoy the party and people watching! The evening is being held outdoors at the Osher Marin JCC aside Marin’s beautiful nature and open space preserve.

This 20-piece Latin-flavored orchestra is full of celebration, rejuvenating the Latin big band sounds of the 1940s through the ‘60s and recalling the legendary works of Machito, Tito Puente, and Celia Cruz.
