The Mill Valley Music Festival, a one-day outdoor arts and culture event presented by the Mill Valley Chamber, is a multi-faceted, multi-genre, all-ages event at Friends Field behind the Mill Valley Community Center on Saturday, May 7, from 12-7pm.
We’re working feverishly to make MVMF something the community can be proud of, with a full day of amazing music but also world-class food and drink and activities and art and games and entertainers and much, much more. To date, the response from our community and beyond has been through the roof. We appreciate the support! We’re laser-focused on a fan experience that goes above and beyond the phenomenal music, food and drinks. Families and kiddos will have plenty of exciting activities to dog into throughout the day!
But at its core, MVMF is about reveling in musical creativity from a heady, multi-genre mix of diverse national and local acts. Our headliner is none other than Grammy Award-nominated singer/songwriter Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals, marking one of Harper’s only US dates currently announced for the first half of this year. Lettuce, one of the great funk-jam bands of the modern age, is also set to perform, alongside other popular acts like Nashville’s very own psychedelic-folk rockstar Liz Cooper & the Stampede; Latin Grammy Award-winning Venezuelan disco-funk trio Los Amigos Invisibles; and the Bay Area-based La Doña, a Latin-Alternative music project from Cecilia Cassandra Peña-Govea and considered to be one of the most sought-after new acts from the Golden State.
If you aren’t familiar with all of the artists on our main stage, we’ve got you covered!
