Planning Commission Unanimously Backs One-Year Extension of Non-Seasonal Outdoor Business Use and Evaluation of a Permanent Program ā Ultimate Decision Goes to City Council in September
āIf we took this to a public vote, this would be a landslide.āSo said some of the residents who turned out Tuesday evening for the Mill Valley Planning Commissionās hearing on issues related to the City Councilās unanimous decision in April to pare back some of the elements of our communityās incredibly popular use of outdoor space.

At an April 2022 hearing, City Manager Alan Piombo told the council that āin order to make zoning changes, the Planning Commission would need to review those changes prior to them coming back to council for adoption. But there would be no open or ongoing deliberation over what the program would look like.ā That hearing is set for Tuesday, August 23 at 6:30pm.
