Yes on L Campaign Hosts a Series of Community Forums on Monday, Oct. 14th, 7-8pm @ Assembly, 319 Miller Ave., Followed by Forums on Oct. 28th at Assembly and Oct. 29 at Assembly
On Monday, October 14th from 7-8 PM at Assembly at 319 Miller Ave., a community forum about Measure L, an important local initiative aimed at securing Mill Valley’s future. This is your chance to learn how Measure L will provide the funding needed to protect our city from wildfire risks, maintain critical infrastructure like roads and emergency routes, and support needed maintenance for our beloved library and community center. With unanimous support from the Mill Valley City Council and endorsements from 12 former Mayors, Measure L has also been backed by key local organizations including the Mill Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Now comes word that Marin City is among a dozen economically disadvantaged communities across the nation selected to receive up to $10 million in assistance from the federal government to complete small public works projects. The $120 million in projects is being funded with money from the $1.2 trillion Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which was signed into law by President Joe Biden in 2021. Marin City’s successful proposal was submitted by the Marin City Community Services District in collaboration with the nonprofit Marin City Climate Resilience and Health Justice.

In response, in 2024, City officials conducted staff drills, revamped evacuation routes, and emphasized to residents the message: “Take one car, save the lives of those behind you.” This strategy ensures a faster, safer evacuation for all residents.
