Aimlessly drifting tumbleweeds donāt spend much time in the 94941. When an intensely-felt Mill Valley controversy arises, our community engages, often deeply so, to say the least. Few subjects have stirred the proverbial pot in town more than the June 2023 proposal for the membership-based Treehouse from Marine Layer founders Adam Lynch and Mike Natenshon, part of the team leasing and developing the former bank building at 60 Throckmorton Ave., all of whom live in Mill Valley.

Now comes word that Abby Hill will be showcasing Suki Hill’s rock ānā roll photography of the late 60ās starting Tuesday, Nov. 5th from 5:30-7:30pm (which is also Election Day) at the venerable Throckmorton Theatre. “Come unwind with a chill walk through Mill Valley for the first Tuesday Artwalk, and swing by the Throckmorton Theatre,” says Abigail. “Sukiās photography has not been shown in 10 years and I am thrilled that The Throckmorton and Lucy Mercer has asked to host. Please come down and check out your town and all the beautiful artists and their artwork.

On October 28 at 5pm, there will be a free musical celebration of life for Phil at the Throckmorton Theatre. Performers will be some of Phil’s fellow musicians from the SF Opera and Symphony. All are welcome. The family has asked that gifts and donations be made to the Throckmorton Theatre instead of the family, a wonderful and supportive gesture to the theatre Phil loved so much (and performed at frequently). Phil was a deeply loved community member with a talent rare and fantastic.
