On September 25 at 5:30 pm, come together with fellow Mill Valley residents for an inspiring evening of unity and inclusion. Our reception will feature two short films, Mill Valley Stands United Against Hate and Crisis of Hate, and a dynamic panel discussion focused on how we, as individuals and a community, can actively confront hate and foster unity. At its Oct. 15 meeting, the Board of Supervisors will consider a Memorandum of Understanding that will spell out how the approved Marin City project would be changed. The Board’s consideration of the proposal to rezone 150 Shoreline to support approval of the 32-unit building at the site would follow, after consideration by the Tam Design Review Board and the Planning Commission. CDA Director Sarah Jones: “A key aspect of this split development approach is making sure that housing is distributed around the county and not concentrated in just a few areas,” Jones explained.

“This type of project is something that is unprecedented in our unincorporated county,” Jones told the San Francisco Chronicle. She said the state is prioritizing adding a variety of housing to well-off neighborhoods with abundant resources, “as this project would do.”The county’s report, which took more than three years to finish, highlights the project’s impact, including traffic and noise. Neighbors have objected to the size of the project, lobbying against it since it was announced.
