When I moved to Marin I didnāt know anyone in the rug business here but I was incredibly experienced inĀ the floor covering business, my dad was a carpet installer when I was a little kid. I would go to work with him. He started selling wall-to-wall carpets, eventually opening a successful store on Long Island. After moving out West to SoCal, he purchased a carpet mill. I even had uncles and cousins who were in the business around the country.

The event boasts an excellent slate of performers, including music from the likes of Kurt Hugel, Tim Ryan, Daniel Patrick, Diana Gat Cantania Alexia Ulbinsky and Caylia Chaikin, along with poetry from Suz Lipman, storytelling from Sheri Williamson and Ginnie Job, tango dancing from Aldo Zamudio and partner and Chipps Barsky with the Art of the Valentine.
