Swifty is a Taylor Swift tribute band “by Swifties, for Swifties.” Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Swifty captures the infectious energy of the Eras Tour. Young actor and musician Gillian Eichenberger sparkles as Taylor, and features a live band headed by prolific singer/songwriter Jon Chi. Bust out your bodysuit, throw on your friendship bracelets, and get ready to “Shake It Off” to your favorite songs! Dance party, costume contest, Taylor inspired drinks specials! Matt Jaffe & The Distractions will perform special guests, Westamerica Tai Kwondo performance and class, Kids Zone with Dave Fromer Soccer, Mill Valley Rec Center Crafts and Camp Funderblast.

Local Kitchens partnered with Cailan to share his take on a staple of American cuisine: the burger. It’s a match made in culinary heaven, as Cailan is a burger connoisseur. Cailan first rose to culinary prominence after founding the famed restaurant, Eggslut, and his many accolades include creating LA’s top burger spot, Amboy Quality Meats, hosting the viral YouTube sensation, The Burger Show, (with 129M views and counting!) and serving as a food consultant for the animated series, Bob’s Burgers.

SFGATE: Bay Area Gas Station Owner Mike Shamsian Explains How He Sells Some of the Cheapest Fuels in the Bay Area

Shamsian started researching enterprises with more security for leaseholders and learned that gas stations are subject to a law that strengthens protections for retailers. He started looking for a pump to take over, and it was his wife Fariba who first learned that the Mill Valley Arco was about to hit the market. Shamsian started managing the station in 1995 (Arco’s owner, Marathon Petroleum, is still the landlord) and quickly saw that he’d have to take a risk if he was going to succeed. “I just had to go and sacrifice pricing,” he said.

Marin IJ: San Rafael Vets ‘Final Version’ of Mall Redevelopment Plan

Merlone Geier Partners, a real estate investment firm in San Francisco, is moving forward with its revised plan submitted in June, abandoning an alternate, larger-scale proposal that was pitched earlier this year. Ross Guehring, spokesperson for the company, said its proposal for 1,422 homes is “the preferred project for all stakeholders.” The scrapped alternative called for 1,865 homes. “After more than three years of community collaboration and thoughtful design revisions, we’re thrilled to present the final version of this project,” Guehring said.
