It did just that, so much so that the City is doing it again on July 11.
“It was a really powerful event – people had a blast,” Recreation Director Jenny Rogers said of the 2014 event. “People really appreciated the opportunity to try out their preparedness skills, and people also really enjoyed that sense of community of coming together and getting to know your neighbor.”
The City is inviting the community to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of National Parks & Recreation Month by camping out with neighbors and friends at the Mill Valley Community Center. You can reserve your camping space on Friends Field and participate in fun activities, games, arts & crafts, campfire programs, s’more making, educational activities and more.
