As he’s shown on countless occasions – most recently by helping to raise $22,000 for Kiddo’s Endowment for the Arts – El Paseo owner and longtime Mill Valley resident Sammy Hagar is committed to supporting his community. The Marin IJ recently reported that Hagar was shocked to learn that most of Marin County’s homeless youth come from right here in Marin, one of the wealthiest counties in America, so much so that he had El Paseo host a “Dine for a Cause” event last November in which a portion of proceeds went to Ambassadors of Hope and Opportunity (AHO), a Mill Valley-based nonprofit that helps homeless kids.
Now Hagar’s at it again, with El Paseo hosting a “Dine for a Cause” event on Wednesday, January 11 (5:30-9pm) with 20 percent of proceeds going to the Homeward Bound of Marin, the primary provider of Marin County homeless shelters and service for homeless families and individuals in Marin.
