Festival organizers from the Mill Valley Chamber and Noise Pop Industries are excited to reveal the 2024 music lineup as the boutique, all-ages Mill Valley Music Festival officially returns to Northern California on May 11-12!
Two-day GA and VIP passes are on sale now through www.MillValleyMusicFest.com, with additional ticket options for Teens, Seniors, and Kids. Fans are encouraged to act fast as the first allotment of passes sold out last fall, and ticket pricing will continue to increase as the event date approaches.
“We live in a community that has the depth of knowledge, busy lives, and willingness to travel to the most exciting live music festivals in the country. With that in mind, we’re thrilled to invite our neighbors and friends to pick the 2024 Mill Valley Music Festival afternoon that suits them best. With this phenomenal lineup across both days, there’s no wrong move – it’s all pure sonic joy,” said Jim Welte, Executive Director of the Mill Valley Chamber of Commerce. MORE INFO & TIX.
Musical tastes of all types will be on full display at the festival next spring from indie rock to soul-filled blues to folk, Americana, and more while drawing in acclaimed music artists from across the country – many of whom will be performing in the Mill Valley area for the very first time.
The multi-Grammy Award-nominated indie-folk band Fleet Foxes (Seattle, WA) will make a highly-anticipated return to the Bay Area to headline this year’s outdoor fest, alongside modern-day bluegrass legends Greensky Bluegrass (Kalamazoo, MI) as the Appalachia-influenced five-piece band continues to perform in support of their latest acclaimed project Stress Dreams.
After dropping what’s been heralded as one of the best debut albums in the past two years, the soul-filled three-piece band Thee Sacred Souls (San Diego, CA) will also perform at Mill Valley next May, alongside country singer-songwriter Margo Price (Nashville, TN), who just re-released her latest album Strays this past fall with several brand new tracks; and eight-piece rock-and-soul band St. Paul & The Broken Bones (Birmingham, AL).
Additional festival performers include Eric D. Johnson’s indie rock project Fruit Bats (Chicago, IL), who just dropped the band’s first-ever fully-self-produced album last year called A River Running to Your Heart; funk icons Rebirth Brass Band (New Orleans, LA) who have received several Grammy Awards among other accolades since first forming as a band over four decades ago; and public defender-turned-R&B songstress Danielle Ponder (Rochester, NY).
Rounding out the 2024 lineup features a pair of NorCal natives and acclaimed singer-songwriters – Elliott Peck and Eric Lindell – with Mill Valley Music Festival serving as welcomed hometown shows for these local artists.
“Mill Valley Music Fest is coming back bigger and better than ever in ‘24. Major kudos to the team for curating such an impressive and eclectic lineup, one that really stands out from the crowd and attracts music lovers of all kinds to Mill Valley this spring,” said Michelle Swing, CEO of Noise Pop Industries.
Expect a ton of gorgeous visual art at MVMF, along with an array of kid-centric activities. There also will be an extensive retail market from several creative shops in Mill Valley and Marin.
We’re also leveraging the incredibly generous support from our sponsors by turning each Community Sponsorship into scholarship tickets for students and artists, a program that generated more than 300 free tickets in 2023 to people who might not otherwise be able to attend MVMF.
Check this space in the coming days and weeks for a full lineup of food vendors, kids’ activities, craft vendors and much, much more!!
