Bonnie Powers and Jeffrey Levin, owners of the more than 7-year-old Poet and/the Bench lifestyle store and jewelry atelier space on the block of Throckmorton Ave. that includes the Cinemark Sequoia movie theater, are now doing permanent jewelry in house.

Poet and/the Bench’s permanent bracelets are secured on the wrist by Levin, the shop’s co-founder and goldsmith. “You don’t ever take it off until it breaks or it is snipped off, like a forever bracelet or friendship bracelet,” Levin says. “Permanent jewelry creates a memory keepsake of a special occasion or milestone.
