SF Bay Adventures’ Schooner Freda B Returns With Sails for Every Bay Lover

For more than a decade, Marina O’Neill has honored the adventurous spirit of her grandmother, Freda Marie Been, in thrilling fashion, naming the flagship boat of her Sausalito-based SF Bay Adventures ā€“ an 80-foot, gaff-rigged tall ship available for private tours for up to 49 people and public sails – the Schooner Freda B.

ā€œShe was an amazing woman,ā€ O’Neill says.

While the Freda B has been forced to sit idle in Sausalito for months at a time over the past two years because of COVID-19 health and safety protocols, the outfit has been back to full blast in recent months.

In addition to the striking Freda B, O’Neill says theĀ CimbaĀ isĀ ā€œa charming and affordable motor yacht for a small group up to 10 guests Ā and one of the last wooden boats available for hire in the Bay Area. Cimba boasts a mahogany hull, original teak decks and fully varnished brightwork and interior accents withĀ decks on both the bow and stern of the boat.Ā The cabin has windows one all four sides allowing for 360-degree views of the surrounding Bay waters. O’Neill says CimbaĀ is an ideal yacht for small birthday parties, marriage proposals, elopements, sunset cruises, picnicking, marine photography, small company outings, executive meetings and intimateĀ ash scatterings, among others.Ā The yacht is hugely popular for holiday fireworks,Ā Jazz by the Bay, Fleet Week (Blue Angels) andĀ SF GiantsĀ games inĀ McCovey Cove.
