City of Mill Valley Is Set to Launch a Pilot Program Parking Meter Kiosk – Coming Soon in the City Hall Parking Lot!

We’re excited to introduce a brand-new, hassle-free parking experience in the City Hall parking lot with our new kiosk system! Here’s what you need to know: The kiosk will be live starting Wednesday, March 5th. Simply remember your parking spot number – no need to worry about your license plate number. For the duration of this pilot program, the parking spot number will be on a sticker on the current meter. You don’t need to display a receipt or ticket back in your car – just pay at the kiosk and go about your day. RSVP Stickers (available at the Mill Valley Police Department or online) will still allow you to park for the allotted time limit for free!

Mercury News: Trump’s Tariffs Would Make Housing More Expensive in the Bay Area. How much? It Depends on What You’re Building — and Where

High interest rates and increasing construction costs had already put a strain on efforts to increase the Bay Area’s inadequate housing supply. Now, as President Donald Trump places sweeping tariffs on imports from China, Canada and Mexico, building costs and home prices are expected to increase even further. Economic Outlook Summit 2025 Indicates the North Bay Economy Faces Challenges Due to an Aging Population and Slow Job Growth, Eyes Need to Attract Younger Workers

The North Bay is facing stagnant population growth in coming decades and limited housing development until the profitability of construction changes. And the region’s lack of population growth and persistent high housing costs complicate growth in the local economy and keeping workers and businesses in the region.
