Swifty is a Taylor Swift tribute band “by Swifties, for Swifties.” Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Swifty captures the infectious energy of the Eras Tour, with the intimacy of your favorite local band. Young actor and musician Gillian Eichenberger sparkles as Taylor, and features a live band headed by prolific singer/songwriter Jon Chi. Bust out your bodysuit, throw on your friendship bracelets, and get ready to “Shake It Off” to your favorite songs! Dance party, costume contest, Taylor inspired drinks specials!

Marin County Board of Supervisors Eye an Innovative Proposal to Split a Marin City Affordable Housing Project Into Two Locations Between: 150 Shoreline Hwy. in Tam Junction & 825 Drake Ave. in Marin City

At its Oct. 15 meeting, the Board of Supervisors will consider a Memorandum of Understanding that will spell out how the approved Marin City project would be changed. The Board’s consideration of the proposal to rezone 150 Shoreline to support approval of the 32-unit building at the site would follow, after consideration by the Tam Design Review Board and the Planning Commission. CDA Director Sarah Jones: “A key aspect of this split development approach is making sure that housing is distributed around the county and not concentrated in just a few areas,” Jones explained.

Laurie Reemsnyder, Who’s been Teaching Photography Since 1999 in Vallejo and at Marin Catholic, is the MV Chamber’s Pick as Artist for September 3, 5:30-7:30

Laurie Reemsnyder, a graduate with an Art Ed degree from Rhode Island School of Design who and has been teaching Photography since 1999, in Vallejo and at Marin Catholic, is the Mill Valley Chamber’s selection as Artist of the month for August. Recognizing that art is transformative and connects us all as humans, Reemsnyder designed a photo project that was implemented each summer on her service trips to Cambodia, Costa Rica, Fiji, Thailand, Bosnia and Peru.
