Inspired by the dichotomy of the beautiful West Marin coast and the chaotic pandora’s box of internet culture, the pollution and dilution from the world of the human and the natural world, Kieran creates portals into times past and prophetic future. His works are a cathartic jesters take on the patterns of medieval feudalism, dystopian science fiction and natural landscapes imbued by the power of wind in the trees litany. Winterfest, the 94941’s annual holiday celebration produced by the Mill Valley Chamber and supported by the City of Mill Valley, returns to the Downtown Plaza on December 7th, drawing another massive outpouring of residents, participants and friends to celebrate the holidays! We’ll be unveiling all of the amazing local holiday performances in the coming weeks, but in the meantime, there’s plenty of excitement to chew on, including the return of the beautiful Electric Train that kept kiddos and their families busy and happy throughout the day last year.

Beth Davila Waldman is a cross-disciplinary artist using photography, painting, assemblage and installation. Her work explores the impact of socio-political trends on cultural landscapes, often through imagery laden with indicators of economic and social status, presented in a manner that emulates the sheer stress of imposed change. Waldman’s constructed vistas re-conceive the notion of sanctuary amidst the realities of colonization, and invite meditations on civil access. Waldman imbues her work with a unique materiality by printing or transferring photographs on a plethora of materials—from tarp to sails, canvas to paper.
