Fancy enjoying an afternoon of toe-tapping show tunes along with a wine reception in the sunshine?

Come to the August 14th Summer Concert by Singers Marin, the nonprofit choral organization founded 35 years ago by Jan Pedersen Schiff, a towering figure in the Marin music community who retired in 2020. The concert, dubbed ‘You Gotta Have Heart and Other Impossible Dreams,’ is at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Tiburon.

“Packed with Broadway songs you love, the performance begins at 4 pm with a wine reception in the garden to follow,” says Singers Marin co-president Tori Brant. “Buy your tickets today at https://www.singersmarin.org and come and join the fun!”

NOTE: Covid vaccinations and masks will be required.

The organization looks to kick off its upcoming season on Sept. 12, with the opportunity to introduce new artistic director Michael Brandon Morales, a countertenor and conductor with a Bachelor’s degrees in Drama (UC Irvine) and Music (Sonoma State University), and a Master’s in Conducting from Eastern Illinois University.

Morales is joined by Irene Jacobson, who has served as primary accompanist for Singers Marin since 1992. Jacobson is in demand throughout the Bay Area as pianist/accompanist, arranger, and music director for choirs, orchestras, cantors, vocalists, and instrumentalists.
