The Miller Closure rolls on over Labor Day weekend on Sept. 4 from 5-10pm, continuing to infuse vitality into our community during this insane rollercoaster ride that the COVID-19 crisis hath wrought. Through it all, Mill Valley residents and guests have rediscovered the wonders of the 94941, from the delicious marriage of live music and al fresco dining to more outdoor seating than our community has enjoyed in decades. The voracious appetite for al fresco dining and shopping options has robust and passionate, verifying the “rising tide lifts all boats” theory in spades.
This weekend’s performance, set for 6-8pm, features Joe Endoso, the frontman for IrieFuse, a popular Bay Area based reggae band that has performed at some of the largest reggae festivals such as California Roots in 2014 and the legendary Reggae on the River in 2015. Endoso will perform his own solo tracks as well as those from Iriefuse’s debut EP, Sun is Rising, and their full-length albums Give & Get Back and Drift Away.
The Miller Closure events have featured Piazza D’Angelo, Urban Remedy, Gravity Tavern and Equator Coffees, as well as retailers like The Goods, Famous4, Sofia Jewelry, Sprout SF, Terrestra, Wink Optics , Margaret O’Leary, The Local and The Store showcasing their wares.
Live music takes center stage in downtown Mill Valley Sept. 11-12 with the return of Concerts in the Plaza, with performances from 11am-6:30pm on both days.
