It’s safe to say that we don’t need any more reminders that we all need to more care for our planet.
As has been the case in Marin for decades, community leaders and volunteers are stepping up once again to make the case for decisive community engagement in conjunction with Earth Day. Earth 2050 is a free community event hosted by Green Change on Sunday, April 24 (1-5pm) at the Mill Valley Community Center (180 Camino Alto).
Attendees can expect amazing art, fun games, inspiring talks and good food and music in this family-friendly festival.
Earth 2050 invites people of all ages to imagine a more just and sustainable world by 2050. Through playful activities, you will learn about simple actions you can take to protect our future, such as: use clean energy, eat sustainably, live lightly and build healthy communities.
Featured musicians include Maria Muldaur and the Red Hot Bluesiana Band, as well as Matt Jaffe, Reed Fromer and the Shady Ladies, Freedom Singers and Singers Marin. Participating artists include Tom Killion, Tess Felix, young creators and many more – and you can even create your own art in this beautiful setting.
