Owners Donna Seager and Suzanne Gray remain committed to the arts and the community of Mill Valley but are pivoting away from their gallery space at 108 Throckmorton Avenue to take on new challenges. Suzanne Gray is partnering with Kelly Scott of The Goods to take the reins of Mill Valley Mercantile, a staple in the downtown boutique community. Long known as a family-owned women’s clothing boutique, the store has been a cherished destination for fashion enthusiasts for over two decades.

Throckmorton Theatre Dives Into a Classic With ‘Chicago: Teen Edition,’ Which Kicks off on March 3rd and Runs through March 23rd!

This vibrant musical is fabulously brought to life by our superbly talented teen performers. Set in Chicago during the “jazz” age, the original musical was based on a 1926 play with the same name, written by reporter Maurine Dallas Watkins, about actual criminals and crimes on which she reported. The musical was brought to life with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and a book written by Bob Fosse and Fred Ebb.

Kristina Rudzinskaya’s Etalon Partners with City College of San Francisco for Sustainable Fashion Collaboration

As part of the project, CCSF fashion students were given returned Etalon bras to use as their canvas. They were challenged to preserve the garment’s structural integrity while adding creative elements, decorations, or embellishments that showcased their artistic flair. The designs will culminate in a professional photoshoot, where the creations will be showcased in student portfolios and on Etalon’s social media.

Marin IJ: Mill Valley Looks to Rehabilitate Roof of Historic Mill

“If you look under it from the inside, you can see daylight throughout it, and there’s some places vegetation is starting to grow and get hold, and it’s an untreated wood-shingle roof, so it has a fairly short lifespan,” said Mark Neumann, the city’s deputy director of operations and utilities. The creekside mill in Cascade Canyon was one of the first built in the Bay Area, according to the Mill Valley Historical Society. Erected around 1835 by John Reed, it is one of the oldest standing mills in California.
