North Bay Biz Journal: Unemployment Rates in the North Bay Decreased for the 3rd-Consecutive Month, via Data Released by California’s Employment Development Office on May 16, 2025
The unemployment rate in Marin County was 4.1% in July, up from a revised 3.8% in June. The county’s unemployment rate in July 2023 was 3.4%. The county added jobs in construction, trade, transportation and utilities, leisure and hospitality. Fewer jobs were available in government.

Employers play a key role in affecting air quality and traffic congestion, both of which have a strong impact on our quality of life and future sustainability. The Mill Valley Chamber of Commerce strongly encourages employers to comply. Pardon the Interruption Brings High-Energy New Wave and Prog-Pop to Sweetwater Music Hall on June 5th with Ska/Soul Favorites Jethro Jeremiah Band
Blending New Wave nostalgia with prog-pop punch, Pardon The Interruption (PTI) returns to Sweetwater Music Hall for a high-energy set guaranteed to get Mill Valley moving. Led by guitarist and vocalist David Noble—whose credits range from Wreckless Strangers to Nina Hagen—PTI draws from funk, ska, jam and vintage rock to deliver a sound that’s both retro-chic and totally its own. The band features a killer lineup of NorCal session talent including bassist Rob Fordyce, drummer Rob Hooper and sax maven Jamison Smeltz.
