As usual, the giant rainbow slide was the main attraction for the kiddos, while a fantastic lineup of singers, dancers and musicians to perform throughout the day, includingĀ the Tam High Jazz Ensemble, Happy Feet Dance School, Natalia Betzler & Marin Conservatory of Dance.Ā Chabad Mill Valley’s Brooklyn shop and community space led the lighting of a huge ice menorah amidst the eight days of Hanukkah.

Give Back @ Winterfest: We’ll Have One Warm Coat and Toys for Tots Donation Stations – Dec. 5, 1-5pm, Depot Plaza

One of the most important elements of the annualĀ Mill Valley Winterfest Ā is an opportunity to give back. On Dec. 5 from 1–5pm at the entrance to the Depot Plaza, we’ll have a Donation Station dedicated to giving you the chance to do just that. We’ll be accepting unwrapped toy donations for the Toys for Tots program and the Performing Stars of Marin via the Mill Valley Fire Department and One Warm Coat.

Clean Mill Valley Turns 9, Remains Vigilant on Reducing Litter, Leaning on Volunteers and Businesses

Nine years after a group of local activists got together to address the abundance of litter in town, Clean Mill Valley, powered by a group of dedicated volunteers and with support from the Mill Valley Chamber, the Outdoor Art Club, the Rotary Club and the former Bloomathon have all long been dedicated to improving the appearance of our town and preserving our natural environment.

Paul Austin’s Play MarinĀ has long soughtĀ to offer Marin City youth the opportunity to participate in organized sports and extracurricular activities “to intentionally give kids of diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds the opportunity to learn and grow together through play.” To that end, on Sunday, Nov. 14 at 10am (meet at 9am), they’re hosting Play Marin’s first annual Walk-A-Thon.

Performing Stars in Marin City Launches 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive for Low-Income Families in Southern Marin

TheĀ Performing Stars nonprofit organizationĀ in Marin City, founded by the force of nature that is Felecia Gaston andĀ has lifted up more than 3,000 children and introduced them to the arts, is seeking donations to make this Thanksgiving Food Drive a success. A $50 donation will feed a family of four. They are respectfully requesting a financial donation of any amount.
