Wreckless Strangers Kick off 2025 with a High-Energy Dinner Show at West Marinās Rancho Nicasio on Saturday, January 11
Wreckless Strangers is a collective of six friends and musicians carrying the torch for San Franciscoās grand rock ānā roll tradition. Their unique stew of āBay Area Gumboā melds the contemporary blues stylings of Bonnie Raitt and Boz Scaggs; the songwriting sensibilities of Sons of Champlin and Fleetwood Mac; the swashbuckling Americana of the Lost Planet Airmen and Peter Rowan; and the funk of Sly Stone and Tower of Power with a dash of Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane for flavor and unpredictability.

The Sweetwater Music Hall ā Mill Valley’s venerable live music institution and one of the most exciting live music venues in Bay Area history ā has, as always, lined up a monster lineup of holiday shows as we head into the final weeks of 2024.
First up is Jason Crosby & Friends’ Tribute to Vince Guaraldi’s ‘A Charlie Brown Christmas, set for Dec. 15th, with shows at both 1pm and 7pm. Four days later, the legendary Christmas Jug Band storms into the Sweetwater on Dec. 19th for an 8pm show.Ā And on the next day, Maria Muldaur and Her Jazzabelle Quintet on Dec. 20th. The 85’s wrap up the holiday season with The 85’s, but not beforeĀ Hot Buttered Rum featuring Jessica Malone and Hattie Craven.
Music Heals International Tees Up Annual Benefit at Sweetwater Music Hall ā Dec. 9th, Sweetwater Music Hall
A major loss has taken place sinceĀ Music Heals InternationalĀ (MHI) announced its 2024 benefit concert,Ā Women Rock, Music Heals!, with theĀ death of Phil Lesh. MHI will honor theĀ Grateful DeadĀ bassist and his landmark second chapter by presenting a Tribute To Phil & Friends at the show on December 9 at Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, California. Phil Lesh & FriendsĀ alumsĀ David Nelson,Ā Elliott Peck,Ā Pete Sears,Ā Barry Sless,Ā Mookie Siegel,Ā Jay LaneĀ andĀ Lebo (Dan Lebowitz)Ā will all participate in the special performances. Surprise guests are also expected.

Strongly influenced by the likes of Hendrix, Clapton, Alvin Lee, Leslie West, Sly Stone and Freddie Stone, Young has played and recorded with a long list of people including; The Natural Four, Sugar Pie DeSanto, Richard āDimplesā Fields, John Lee Hooker, Maria Muldaur, Jimmy McCracklin, Craig Horton, Snooky Flowers, Cool Papa, Archie Lee Hooker, Zakiya Hooker, and Alabama Mike.
