Marin Serves as State Model for Fire Prevention
“One of the reasons why we wanted to locate our task force meeting in Marin is the remarkable work that’s actually happening on a community scale,” said state Natural Resources Secretary Wade Crowfoot, co-chair of the task force. The task force held a series of panel discussions at the Embassy Suites in San Rafael on March 29. More than 400 attended in person and more than 300 tuned in online.

The Mill Valley Memorial Day Parade is right around the corner! The Mill Valley Memorial Day Parade (check out the website) Mill Valley’s biggest annual event is Monday, May 26, 2025. The parade starts with the very special Veterans Ceremony, which includes the student K-8 essay contest “What does Memorial Day mean to me,” beginning at 9:45 am at Lytton Square, followed by the parade at 10:30 am. The I Love a Parade committee, Larry ‘The Hat’ Lautzker, Paul Moe, and Clifford Waldeck invite you to get together with your neighbors and friends or support local organizations and create wondrous floats. Enter your Classic Car, bring your pet kangaroo, and get creative! We’re returning the glory days of Mill Valley Parades, Color Guard, Great floats, Dogs marching, and Classic Cars, with trophies for best in all (see entry form) categories.

He is one of the most versatile guitarists anywhere – he and I have a wide-ranging repertoire spanning the areas of swinging Bebop/Afro-Cuban Latin/Brazilian/World Music including a touch of Middle Eastern – North African, down-home and funky boogaloo blues rhythms, tango jazz + more.

This campaign is being matched by a group of Mountain Play supporters who will match 100% of donations up to $100,000.

Sean was born and raised in San Francisco and had long career in Recreation and Parks. Contributions are much appreciated and will go towards Memorial Benches in both San Francisco and Mill Valley.
