Due to Postal Delays, Organizers Extend Deadline for Memorial Day Parade Float Applications to May 25
To make sure as many floats as possible participate in the first in-person parade in two years, organizers have extended the deadline for parade entries to May 25. The weekend also includes the Pancake Breakfast, Veterans Ceremony and the Historical Society’s annual ‘Walk Into History.’

The council authorized the purchase of Automated License Plate Recognition system, which will allow the department to glean critical data around who parks where, why and when, and thus be able in the future to change certain parking designations in response to usage patterns.

The Mill Valley Memorial Day Parade will be ‘LIVE’ on May 30th this year. The parade kicks off with the special Veterans Ceremony, which includes the student K-8 essay contest, “What does Memorial Day mean to me?” starting 9:45 at Lytton Square followed by the parade at 10:30.
