On Jan. 8th, Sweetwater Music Hall, Along With An Amazing Array of Musicians From Far and Wide, Honored the Late, Legendary Austin de Lone, Who Performed Around the World and Was a Stalwart Supporter of the Venue
Sweetwater Music Hall is excited to honor Austin de Lone, the legendary musician in Mill Valley and beyond, who has played all over the country and around the world for many years, and has been a stalwart supporter of the Sweetwater from the very beginning. Austin is going to hang up his rock ’n’ roll shoes, but has one more party up his sleeve to which you are invited! Please come and pay tribute to Austin and his many musical companions as we toast and roast him on January 8.

“Turning away thought, I fall into a relaxed pace of working for the painting, The pictures start to build themselves. One stroke leads to the next and hours pass. Marks and colors swarm around and in me to find their way on to the canvas. I have no expectation except the unexpected. Here outside of time, surprise follows surprise. Ultimately the marks and colors come to agreement. The picture is complete. From the silence I see the work. As I look into the nameless field newly painted, the work whispers a name.”
