Artists and Poets to Perform Climate Disruption-Focused ‘World on Fire’ ā June 18
If the climate disruption isn’t front of mind for you, a group of multi-talented artists, poets and musicians are bringing the emergency directly to the O’Hanlon Center for the Arts in the form of World on Fire, a spoken-word and musical performance of 15 poems by diverse poets, responding to climate disruption and its effects on the planet, with grief, humor, remorse, outrage and love.

Of the dozens of parade entries awarded for Best Car, Best Float, Best Dog, Best Music, Best Novelty, Best Business, Best Community Spirit and Best Overall, the big winner was the Tim Ryan Family Float, a visually dazzling pickup truck float that asked a simple question: “What are you grateful for?” and encouraged attendees to “Have Unprotected Gratitude.”
