With a massive Memorial Day Weekend, the first parade in three years, the inaugural Mill Valley Music Fest, Comedy in the Plaza and the 111th Dipsea Race in the rearview mirror, there’s still a ton of landmark Mill Valley events on the horizon in 2022, particularly with Concerts in the Plaza, Mill Valley Film Festival and the Fall Arts Fest.

Between now and then, however, it’s all about Movies in the Park.

The free series of film screenings under the stars on a giant inflatable screen in local parks – all part of a collaboration among Mill Valley Recreation, the Mill Valley Chamber and the California Film Institute – returns for its ninth season with a quintet of blockbuster films across a pair of incredible venues. The Movies in the Park series kicked off in 2014 and has gotten bigger and better every year since. In 2018, the MV Chamber organized a successful fundraising campaign to raise enough money to purchase all of the equipment required to produce the series, propelled by a $5,000 grant from the Outdoor Art Club.

All films begin at sunset. No Reservations Required. No capacity limits. No snacks available for purchase.

Here are the trailers for the 2022 Movies in the Park series:
