The Antone family, which boasts longtime, deep roots in Mill Valley and opened the popular Antone’s East Coast Sub Shop in 2016, are mourning the tragic loss of their son Dylan Antone, who passed away on February 8 at the age of 23.
Antone’s pass was devastating to all who knew him, the family said in a statement. He was raised in Southern Marin with strong ties to Mill Valley and graduated from Redwood High School.
Antone loved being involved with his local sport teams. “His big heart always put those who had less than him before him,” his mother Alicia Antone said. “He was a little brother and a big brother at the same time. Dylan is leaving behind four siblings, two of which are younger, two of which are older. He was was a son, brother, nephew, cousin, grandson, and friend/inspiration who embodied a pure, positive spirit to so many. His charisma and charm will be missed. Thank you to all who can help.”
The Antone family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help them through this incredibly difficult time.
They’ve scheduled a Catholic Mass at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 10:45am and a planned celebration of life afterwards. Location TBD.
So sorry to hear. Such a loss at a young age is very difficult on a family.
