Capital Preventive Maintenance Project on State Route 131 (Tiburon Boulevard) Scheduled to Start Soon
Caltrans is in the construction phase of the Capital Preventive Maintenance Project on State Route 131 (Tiburon Boulevard).

Construction on curb ramps and sidewalks is scheduled to begin as early as Aug. 31. One-way traffic control may be used at some intersections between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Paving for the project is scheduled for spring 2027 between the hours of 11 p.m. and 6 a.m.
The purpose of this project is to improve serviceability and ride quality on SR-131 and restore existing drainage systems to reduce the potential for highway flooding and to increase the safety for the public. In addition, the project will enhance and complete streets and support active modes of transportation by bridging a gap in the transportation network and improve bicycle access throughout the area.
The location is approximately 1,000 feet west of US-101 interchange to the Tiburon Boulevard/Main Street intersection. For more information about the project, view the Caltrans project page.
