This week, Rhea posted about our response to the SNAP crisis last year. MCF built Food on Every Table and worked collaboratively with partners around the county to raise money and deliver food to community members in need. Earlier this summer, we jumped in again with partners and started to deliver physical/virtual “gift cards” to nearly 1,700 community members. Potential Federal Funding Shifts in Marin County

After Congress passed H.R.1 (also known as the Big Beautiful Bill) it became clear that funding cuts and policy rollbacks would negatively impact Marin’s social safety net.  Changing federal policy and the upcoming California State Budget introduced additional disruptions. In response, MCF’s Strategy team analyzed enacted and proposed legislation and public spending data to understand which issue areas may face the greatest harm.
