Want to wander, play, picnic and relax amidst 42 acres of pristine hills, creeks and mature redwoods right in your own backyard?
Mill Valley Recreation’s No Clubs, Just Play event, set for this Sunday, July 18 from 2-7pm, is opening the 9-hole, par 33 Mill Valley Golf Course to the public for all kinds of community uses – except golf.
The beautiful Mill Valley Golf Course, which opened for play 102 years ago and has been a golfers’ staple ever since, is opening to the public for community use on specific days, including The course will be open 2 to 7 p.m. for the public to walk, picnic, play catch or relax in the sun – but not golf – and greens and bunkers will be closed. Admission is free and no reservations are required.
MV Rec officials urge attendees to plan ahead and walk or bike to the course if possible. Parking is limited. Dogs on leash allowed. Restrooms available near Proshop. Proshop will be closed.
